The Undertaker finally names his Mount Rushmore of wrestling legends

The Undertaker has finally named his Mount Rushmore of wrestling legends – and there's an interesting inclusion, if truth be told.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest of all-time, The Undertaker was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania week last year.

As one of the most iconic wrestlers in history, it's always interesting to know who he thinks is a pioneer of the sport too.

Back in 2021, when asked who would be the four faces from the wrestling world which would feature on his Mount Rushmore, he named: Andre the Giant, Stone Cold, The Rock and Shawn Michaels.

But two years on, it seems he has changed his mind slightly.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on BT Sport, The Undertaker was asked who his Mount Rushmore of wrestling greats was.

"I'll go: Andre, Flair, Austin and Hogan, probably," The Deadman said.

Noticing he hesitated before naming Hogan, Helwani replied: "Wow, that one took a little bit to come out. Why?"

"You know why," The Undertaker said.

"It is what it is."

He added: "Brother, he was the golden goose. I mean, it didn't get much bigger than Austin and Hogan.

"I mean, their impact on the industry was crazy."

The Undertaker and Hogan have had a strained relationship over the years.

Their alleged beef perhaps stemmed from an incident which happened way back in 1991.

Hogan claimed that 'Taker had injured his neck while performing a 'Tombstone' finisher during their WWF Championship bout at Survivor Series in Detroit.

The main event match ended controversially with The Phenom winning the title following an interference from Ric Flair.

The Hulkster was reportedly unhappy with the finish.

Outside of the ring, some reports suggest the pair clashed over creative differences backstage.

Back in 2015, Hogan was fired by the WWE after reports emerged that he went on a racist tirade about his daughter Brooke‘s boyfriend.

“I’d rather if she was going to f**k some n***er,” Hogan reportedly said on the leaked tape.

“I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall n***er worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player!”

At the time, Hogan issued a statement apologising for repeatedly using the N-word.

He said: “Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation. It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologise for having done it.”

“This is not who I am. I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise. I am disappointed with myself that I used language that is offensive and inconsistent with my own beliefs.”

It's understood a number of wrestlers, including The Undertaker, distanced themselves from Hogan after this incident.
