The Undertaker returns as 'The American Badass' at Raw XXX

The Undertaker returns as 'The American Badass' at Raw XXX

‘Big Evil’ returned for the first time since 2003 to the surprise of the WWE fans.

The Undertaker is perhaps the most iconic character in WWE history.

But there is one iteration is his character that invokes nostalgia like no other - The ‘American Badass’.

And ‘Big Evil’ returned for the first time since 2003 at Raw XXX to a raucous reaction.

The WWE is celebrating 30 years of Monday Night Raw in Philadelphia with a mix of legends such as D-Generation-X, Kurt Angle, Ric Flair, and more.

Some of the most iconic names to celebrate the longest-running wrestling show in history, so you certainly couldn’t leave out the Deadman.

Only this time he didn’t turn up as the overcoat-wearing, black hat-donning Taker.

He strolled on through as ‘The American Badass’ complete with motorcycle entrance and Kid Rock theme song.

Current WWE superstar LA Knight was in the ring cutting a promo early on in the show before the Phenom interrupted to the surprise of the crowd.

He biked on down to the ring in typical ‘American Badass’ fashion as he entered the ring.

Knight proceeded to trash talk Undertaker while also hyping up his match with Bray Wyatt at the Royal Rumble.

Wyatt, a one-time rival of The Undertaker, arrived and caused LA Knight to run back into the ring.

Like we’ve seen many times before the WWE Hall of Famer grabbed Knight by the neck and signalled for a chokeslam.

However, instead of finishing off the wrestler himself, he passed him onto Wyatt who hit his finishing move Sister Abigail.

Almost a symbolic passing of the torch moment.

Taker then walked past Bray and whispered something in his ear before exiting the ring - in yet another iconic Monday Night Raw moment.

The ‘American Badass’ persona had been put on the self since 2003 when The Undertaker lost a Buried Alive match against Vince McMahon thanks to interference from his storyline brother Kane.

The Undertaker returned as the Deadman at Wrestlemania XX where he defeated Kane.

And while the biker gimmick was finished, it has lived on as a favourite for many of the WWE fans.
