Triple H's Surprise Entrance At WrestleMania 38 Was Electrifying, He Rolled Back The Years

Triple H's Surprise Entrance At WrestleMania 38 Was Electrifying, He Rolled Back The Years

The WWE legend thanked the fans as he left his boots in the ring to signal his in-ring retirement.

WWE legend Triple H kicked off Wrestlemania 38 with a surprise appearance, making a thrilling entrance true to form.

Rolling back the years, the iconic theme music ‘The Game’ kicked in as we were welcomed to the stadium for the second night of WWE’s premier event inside AT&T Stadium.

There were no extravagant bells or whistles, which has been customary for Wrestlemania entrances for ‘The Game’, however, this one had a greater sense of importance as H made his way down to the ring.

The former World Champion hugged his family at ringside before posing on the ropes in classic fashion, with a thrilling pop from the crowd to match.

He then welcomed the audience with an over-the-top voice that would make his father-in-law, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon proud, saying: “Welcome to Wrestlemania!”

The 52-year-old recently announced his retirement from in-ring competition after suffering a serious cardiac event last year.

The news came to light in an interview on ESPN’s First Take with Stephen A. Smith, with Triple H saying: “I will never wrestle again.

"First of all, I have a defibrillator in my chest, which, you know, probably not a good idea for me to get zapped on live TV."

Triple H wasn’t scheduled to be part of Wrestlemania 38, however, with the recent news of his retirement, a proper send-off was befitting.

The 14-time World Champ proceeded to thank the fans for their love and support during this time and over his career.

A lengthy ovation and chants of, “Thank You Hunter”, filled the stadium, fitting for the King of Kings.

He then proceeded to leave his boots in the middle of the ring, a symbolic symbol of a wrestler’s official retirement.

While Hunter is officially retired as a wrestler, he has long been involved in a back-stage role as he transitioned from full-time wrestling to more of a part-time role over the years.

He was heavily involved with WWE developmental brand NXT until recently and is now involved with the WWE’s NIL program that recruits collegiate athletes.

While we may not see Triple H wrestle again, moments such as Wrestlemania’s entrance are a constant reminder of his legendary status.
