WWE Fans Can't Believe The Bump 57-Year-Old 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin Took After Years Of Neck Issues

WWE Fans Can't Believe The Bump 57-Year-Old 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin Took After Years Of Neck Issues

Austin gave it his all.

WWE fans cannot believe 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin took a suplex on the concrete floor during his comeback match with Kevin Owens at WrestleMania.

Austin took part in his first match in 19 years on Saturday night and he battled former Universal Champion Owens in under 'No Holds Barred' rules.

'The Texas Rattlesnake' bounced Owens all around the American Airlines Center but 'KO' turned the tables with a wicked move while out in the crowd.

Owens hoisted Austin up in the air and dropped him down to the ground, with Austin immediately grabbing his neck.

WWE's official Twitter account could only post 12 shock emojis and that was the reaction of everyone watching at home.

One commented: "Never expect Austin to take a bump like this! Wow."

Another put: "I felt every muscles in my body spasming watching this one, HOLY S**T!"

A third said: "This is how much Austin loves this business, still amazed he agreed to it."

While someone tweeted: "Man already has a screwed up neck and is taking this! Nobody cares about the fans more!"

Austin suffered a number of neck issues throughout his career and that's what forced him into retirement in 2003.

His appearance at WrestleMania was originally set as an appearance on the 'KO Show' rather than a match.

However, after hearing Owens run down the great state of Texas, Austin thought it was time to open up one last can of whoop ass.

The 57-year-old hadn't lost a step and stomped a mudhole, delivered a brutal Stunner while sinking many, many cold ones.

After the match he celebrated in the ring with his brother before inviting commentator Byron Saxton into the ring.

You can guess what happened next. One more Stunner for the road as the broadcast went off the air.

Austin spoke to WWE's YouTube channel immediately after the match and he said: "KO is outstanding but he ran his mouth a little too much and it finally caught up with him.

"It was an honour to be here on such a stacked card with so many great matches.

"You just love the crowd and the guys before me had so many great matches and it's really hard to follow that. But you live and die by that crowd.

"This crowd is so faithful, so loyal, so behind everything you do. So I give a shoutout to the WWE superstars who worked before me and who will work tomorrow night. But I give the biggest shoutout to the crowd!"

WrestleMania 38 continues on Sunday evening and will be main evented by Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar.
