WWE star Mandy Rose reportedly fired for adult content released on exclusive platform

WWE star Mandy Rose reportedly fired for adult content released on exclusive platform

The 32-year-old was NXT champion for over 400 days losing her title in yesterday’s program to Roxanne Perez.

WWE star Mandy Rose has reportedly been released from the company over photos and videos she shared on an adult content site.

The 32-year-old was NXT champion for over 400 days losing her title in yesterday’s (December 14) program to Roxanne Perez.

And less than 24 hours following the conclusion of her historic reign she had been let go by the WWE, according to Fightful.

The New York Post reports that the reason behind her release stems from nude photos and videos she had been sharing on her FanTime page.

FanTime is a similar platform to OnlyFans in that users can pay a monthly subscription fee to access exclusive content from the creators.

Rose had joined the platform a few months prior to her release and had reportedly been posting increasingly more X-rated photos.

This was relatively unheard for for current WWE superstars, particularly ones that were currently holding a title and were currently being spotlighted.

The former champion’s FanTime page cost users $40 a month.

However, the report claims that in recent days the content had been leaked and spreading across the internet.

A group of photos with fiance Tino Sabbatelli were said to be particularly racy.

According to Fightful journalist Sean Ross Sapp: “WWE officials felt they were put in a tough position based on the content she was posting on her FanTime page. They felt like it was outside of the parameters of her WWE deal.”

However, the news comes as a shock in storyline considering she was a valued part of the NXT development brand for over a year now.

Rose made her WWE debut in 2015, spending time on Raw, Smackdown, and then in NXT.

The WWE had been rated PG-13 since 2008, following years of over-the-top television during the Attitude Era.

However, in July it was suggested that the company was moving back to TV-14 programming according to parent ratings guide across episodes of Monday Night Raw.

In 2020 Zelina Vega was fired by the WWE for launching an OnlyFans account that did not have provocative content.

However, WWE had noted to its performers that any participation in third-party platforms such as Twitch, Cameo and OnlyFans was unacceptable and could only go ahead with cooperation with the WWE.

The WWE explained at the time: “Much like Disney and Warner Bros., WWE creates, promotes and invests in its intellectual property, i.e. the stage names of performers like The Fiend Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, Big E and Braun Strowman.

“It is the control and exploitation of these characters that allows WWE to drive revenue, which in turn enables the company to compensate performers at the highest levels in the sports entertainment industry. Notwithstanding the contractual language, it is imperative for the success of our company to protect our greatest assets and establish partnerships with third parties on a company-wide basis, rather than at the individual level, which as a result will provide more value for all involved.”
