Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes has talked up a potential crossover between WWE and UFC after the two brands merged together in a deal worth £17.3 billion.
Back in September, two of the biggest brands in fighting and sports entertainment created history when they joined forces and launched under the new name TKO.
It brought plenty of discussion around the possibility of talent crossing over between WWE and UFC and now, one of the the biggest names in wrestling has commented on the topic.

Cody Rhodes, who returned to WWE in 2022 after six years away from the company, name-dropped former MMA fighter Bobby Lashley when speaking about a possible crossover.
"What would be funny to me is if anyone could crossover from here,” Rhodes said in an interview with ESPN.
“We have legitimately very tough guys like Bobby Lashley. I’m always very curious to see how one of us would do. I know in the past it’s not always worked out for everybody, but I am curious to see who is the first to take that jump.”
Rhodes was also asked about the possibility of making the crossover to UFC, and it sounds like he genuinely thought about it in 2022.

But the idea was quickly shut down by his wife, Brandi Rhodes.
“I actually told my wife. I told my wife I wanted to do one fight,” Cody added.
“I told her this two years ago. I think I was looking for some sort of massive financial windfall, I don’t know what it was, but I told her I wanted to do one fight and she absolutely let me know that would not be happening. Unless you convince her, it’s not going to happen. Maybe it’s for the best.”
'The American Nightmare' also mentioned Conor McGregor as being "the most obvious" person to make the transition to the WWE, but said he has "got plenty of fights left in him" in MMA.
