Stone Cold Steve Austin believes that John Cena is one of the top WWE stars of the decade, but that's not enough to dethrone Brock Lesnar.

WWE legend Stone Cold Steve Austin has argued that Brock Lesnar is head and shoulders above any other wrestler in the business post-2010.

Ex-UFC superstar Lesnar, 42, made his sensational WWE return in 2012 and has continued to dominate the main-event scene with the company.

When Stone Cold was asked who was the most important wrestler of the decade, the 54-year-old told CBS Sports: "You dang sure have to put Brock Lesnar on it because I think Brock is the guy."

"Can you give me another name?"

Lesnar is currently the WWE champion and captured the title from Kofi Kingston in a squash match on SmackDown's 20th anniversary show last month.

And the 'Beast' has since defended the championship against former UFC foe Cain Velasquez at Crown Jewel last month.

Lesnar has been heavily criticised by fans for working 'only part time' with WWE, but Austin defended him by praising the dominating mystique surrounding his character.

"With Brock, you can say 'part time' this or whatever, but when Brock goes to the ring, I still get a sense of danger or I sense that I don't really know what he is going to do," the WWE Hall of Famer explained.

"How often does he go to Suplex City? How bad did he really hurt somebody? What's he going to do to this opponent or what is he going to do to dismantle him?"

Austin also named WWE superstar John Cena as one of the other top wrestlers of this decade.

But even the 'Texas Rattlesnake' believes that Lesnar "creates more questions in my mind than anybody else who has walked into the ring for the last ten years."

He continued: "[No] question in my mind.

"Cena is up there with the top of the top, but moving past that, Brock Lesnar, when he walks into an arena or steps into an octagon, you always wonder what's going to happen with that guy."

Lesnar will return to action at Survivor Series on Sunday when he puts the WWE Championship on the line against Rey Mysterio in a No Holds Barred, No Disqualification match.
