Jordan Devlin has admitted it is "a really special treat" that WWE is heading to Ireland next month with NXT UK TakeOver: Dublin.

The WWE brand will hold its first event outside of the UK when the superstars take over the 3Arena on 26th April.

WWE hasn't announced any matches for the upcoming pay-per-view, but Devlin is adamant that he won't be left off the card for his homecoming.

When SPORTbible asked the 29-year-old Irish star if he would appear at TakeOver: Dublin, he responded: "Do you think that NXT UK coming to Dublin for the first time and they're gonna leave their 'Ace' out? And they won't bring me to my hometown?

"Of course I'm going to be at TakeOver: Dublin. Yeah, it's a dream come true stuff for me to be able to help bring NXT UK to Ireland [and] to have the first WWE televised event coming from my hometown [and] is a really special treat for me. It's gonna be a really good night."

Devlin became the NXT cruiserweight champion back in January and has since appeared on WWE brands like 205 Live and NXT US.

The 'Irish Ace' said that his opponents are no longer limited to the NXT UK brand and he has "bigger fish to fry than that."

When asked if there was anyone he wanted to face from NXT UK at TakeOver: Dublin, Devlin said: "I'm not just looking at the NXT UK roster anymore now. I've got bigger fish to fry than that.

"I've been tasked with defending this title across three brands, so I need to keep my eye on NXT and 205 Live as well. Pretty much anybody under 205lbs I'm keeping my eye on now at the moment."

The cruiserweight champ has had a significant increase in his workload and change in his lifestyle with appearances across NXT and 205 Live.

However, Devlin explained that he is stepping up to the challenge and is "loving it at the moment."

The 'Irish Ace' said: "Yeah, it's been shocking for my lifestyle [...]. I've had very little downtime since TakeOver: Blackpool [II], but it's the life that I've envisioned me having as a pro wrestler when I was a young man, so I'm loving it at the moment."

Devlin has revealed that he wants to join forces with UFC superstar Conor McGregor for TakeOver: Dublin next month.

And the NXT UK star has also said that he would be ready to put his championship on the line against WWE legend Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 36.
