WWE legend Stone Cold Steve Austin says he could have one more match.

The 54-year old has not wrestled inside the squared circle since 2003 when he squared off against long-time rival The Rock at Wrestlemania 19, though he has returned to the company on many occasions to dish out stunners and drink his fair share of 'Steveweisers'.

It was thought that Austin had no interest in getting back in the ring given previous neck injuries but the six-time world champion believes he would be able to lace up his boots one more time.

"People always ask me, 'Hey man, you're still in really good shape. You got one more match left in you?' Stone Cold said on his podcast, via Sky Sports.

"And I tell them, 'Man.' I say, 'You know, it's a tough thing to think about.' Physically, would I be able to have one more match? Yes, most definitely, and I could make it to that match without being injured.

"Although the risks are always there, just because I think all of the surgeries, I had... where I had the spinal stenosis, and getting that bone spur taken off my spinal cord - I'm in a good place. Nerves are feeling a lot better than they use to.

"So, you know, in theory, could I have a match? In theory, yes."

After his iconic "Austin 3:16" promo at King of the Ring 1997, Stone Cold soon transformed into the biggest star in the wrestling business and his beer-swigging, hell-raising antics were a huge hit with the fans.

To this day whenever that glass shatters and his music hits, there's an eruption of energy like no other so you can only imagine the atmosphere if he was to return and have a full match.

Shawn Michaels was lured by the mega-rich Saudi Arabia money to compete alongside Triple H against The Undertaker and Kane at Crown Jewel after eight years of retirement and it sounds like Austin is a little tempted.

Gimme me a hell yeah if you want to see The Texas Rattlesnake roll back the years...
