Brock Lesnar Explains How He Developed One Of WWE's Most Devastating Finishing Moves

Brock Lesnar will enter the Royal Rumble as WWE champion next week and that gives him the chance to give an F5 to 29 other men, and the Beast Incarnate revealed how he came up with the move.

Given the size and power of Lesnar no one will be too surprised if he goes on to win in Dallas, Texas next Sunday, despite entering the Rumble as the number one entrant.

If he's going to then he'll likely have to deliver a lot of F5s, his famous finishing move, in an interview with WWE he explained how he came up with the move, "I came up with it by just kind of messing about one day in the ring," he told WWE Confidential.

"And I was watching a bunch of Japan wrestling videos and Jonny Laurinaitis, one of the road agents, saw me practicing moves similar to it and decided that we should incorporate both of them and use it as a semi kind of DDT, kind of spinning DDT, where the guys on my shoulders and turns out it looked pretty devastating and it was effective, and I liked it."

Lesnar was certainly right about it being effective. The former UFC heavyweight champion has won the WWE Championship five times, Universal title three times, and also won the King of the Ring tournament and Royal Rumble, all with the help of his finisher.

All the biggest and best names of the current era, and many of the previous era, have been on the end of the move but the 42-year-old explained three of the biggest men in the company's history were his favourite opponents to deliver the move to, adding, "My favourite memory of using the F5 was the first time I did it to Big Show. That was a feat in itself because he was a heavy load. Also probably against Rikishi and Mark Henry you know, because both those guys are well over 350 lbs."

Lesnar's short term future is an interesting one as it's rare for a champion to enter the Rumble, with the winner earning themselves a title shot at Wrestlemania.

No one is sure what the champion winning would mean for this year's event at the Raymond James Stadium, in Tampa, Florida, on April 5th.

There are rumours that Tyson Fury will face Lesnar at 'Mania,' but only if he beats Deontay Wilder in February.
