Drew McIntyre has insisted his WWE Championship clash with Brock Lesnar at this weekend's WrestleMania will be like a 'pub fight'.
McIntyre earned the right to challenge 'The Beast Incarnate' for his WWE Championship by winning the Royal Rumble match back in January.
McIntyre spoke on a conference call days before the match to let everyone know what to expect.
"Myself and Brock has been a simple story really", McIntyre explained.

"Sometimes you can overcomplicate things when simple is always the best story, two big guys who like to fight then fighting over the title to decide who is the better man.
"When me and Brock Lesnar actually get to Wrestlemania it's basically gonna be a pub fight or a bar fight, I'm looking at it like you've put a ring in the pub but nobody else is allowed in the pub!"
This year's WrestleMania will be held in the WWE Performance Center due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

It will also be the first WrestleMania in history to have no fans in attendance.
McIntyre explained that no fans could amplify the physical battle he'll be having with the former UFC star.
"No matter what me vs Brock Lesnar would be physical but you wouldn't hear the strikes, I'm sure you'd feel how hard we hit each other but with nobody there and cameras picking up all the sound, this is gonna be a very physical match that everyone is gonna get in to."

McIntyre has risen up the card in the last few months and has developed a good connection with the WWE Universe.
He's had numerous interactions with former WWE superstar Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) in recent months and the Ayr, Scotland native thinks it has helped him come out of his shell.
"MVP is someone I'm good friends with and have known for a long time, he's very comfortable on the microphone so it helped me be myself," McIntyre told SPORTbible.

"That's been the biggest thing for me over the last few months, I've been given the all clear to go out there and be yourself."
McIntyre credits a segment with Ric Flair back in October for offering 'a glimpse' into his true personality after playing a bodyguard role for the majority of his WWE run.
The 34-year-old had been used as a henchmen for Dolph Ziggler and Shane McMahon since his re-debut in 2018 but it's not a character that came naturally.

"Eventually I was given a microphone and I was told 'You don't need to be this big angry Scottish guy anymore', which I didn't enjoy at the time one because it's not really me and two because people can't really connect with that.
"I was able to show my real personality which is a bit silly and a bit sarcastic but the crowd responded and realised, 'I like this guy I can relate to this guy' but when the bell rings, I'm still that a**e-kicker I've always been.
"I think that was a big thing of the final pieces coming together and what I was missing to get to that next level."
