Eddie Hall Agreed To Get The Mountain's Name Name Tattooed On Him If He Lost

He and Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson had an arrangement before they squared off against each other and there was a lot of money on it.

Eddie Hall could be heading to a tattoo parlour soon after he lost his boxing match to Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson.

The two faced off at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in what was dubbed the 'world's heaviest' bout.

While the two were impressive, it was the Game of Thrones actor nicknamed The Mountain who came out on top by unanimous decision after six rounds.

But before these two did battle, they made an agreement.

According to The Sun, Hall said in the lead up to the event: "My training partner showed me Thor's video about getting the tattoo for the loser of the fight.

"Well, Thor, I don't need to think things over, as I say, I think from the heart so I speak from the heart.

"So straight away, I'll say yes to that, the loser has to get a tattoo of World's Strongest Man, and the opposing name.

"Let's tick that off. $200,000 each for charity regardless, let's tick that off, that's a goer."

The arrangement wasn't part of their official fighting contract, so Eddie could back out of the deal if he really wanted to. But considering he added that charity line it would be awkward if he pulled out.

Hall was the fan favourite in the stadium over the weekend, and he rocked his opponent early as the crowd cheered him on, before knocking him to the canvas.

But Björnsson was able to bust open Hall's face in the first round, and in the third he knocked him down, in what for a moment looked like it could be a KO.

He went on to knock down Hall again in the sixth round, and the judges declared him winner, 57-54.

Eddie has since spoken out about his loss and while he is disappointed in the result, he's still happy he squared up against Thor.

"You know what, I can take things as a man. It is what it is, that's boxing," he said on Instagram.

"At the end of the day, I've just fought the biggest man on the planet in a boxing match. I'd like to see anyone else get the balls and do that.

"It's been a hell of a journey; I've enjoyed it and hopefully there's a rematch and we can do business again.

"I want to wish everyone out there.. that you're staying safe, staying positive and you keep moving forward in life.

"The most important thing is family; this gorgeous baby [Hall's wife] is my rock and no matter what happens I get to go home to her and the kids."

The Mountain has expressed an interest in doing a rematch if Eddie is keen.
