Former NFL Player Reckons He Could Easily Turn LeBron James Into A Wide Receiver

The completely hypothetical debate as to whether LeBron James could make the transition from the basketball court to the football field has been brought up by the likes of Skip Bayless, Shannon Sharpe, Stephen A. Smith and many other American sports analysts.

Most of them agree that the four-time NBA champion could very easily swap his baggy Lakers jersey for a set of shoulder pads.

But at the end of the day, we all know in the back of our heads that it'll never happen unfortunately.

But former NFL tight end Greg Olsen genuinely believes he could turn LeBron into a star wide receiver.

And on top of that, Olsen reckons it'd only take him a year of training to make LeBron NFL ready.

"If I could coach LeBron James for one year, I could make him an All-Pro wide receiver," Olsen told The Colin Cowherd Podcast.

"There's no question in my mind."

You can just picture it now: Man mountain LeBron James leaping head and shoulder above his defensive backs to become the first person in history to win both a Super Bowl and and NBA championship.

Just kidding, but Olsen certainly isn't - and he's got his eye on few other NBA players who could very easily become NFL prospects.

"I could turn Russell Westbrook into an All-Pro free safety," he added.

"There's a handful of those guys that could make the transition just because they are so unique. But there's few and far between those guys.

"But yes, I do think he could play NFL wide receiver. For how long? I think he'd be stupid to stop playing basketball to come play football, but yes, I do think he could in the short-term. Yes I do."

He's already one of the most dominant athletes on the court, but how good would it be to see LeBron James be equally-as-dominant on the field too?

It was only recently that he claimed two top NFL teams were chasing his signature during his high school football days.

And being the confident bloke he is, LeBron added that there was no doubt he "would have made the team".
