Who Is Jake Paul's Opponent Hasim Rahman Jr.? Age, Boxing Record, Net Worth

The 12-1-0 boxer has stepped in to take on Jake Paul as the Tommy Fury fight falls through once more, but who is he?

Jake Paul is set to take on Hasim Rahman Jr. on August 6th in his latest boxing bout, but who is the YouTuber’s opponent and how difficult will it be for Paul to maintain his unbeaten record?

Paul had been due to box Britain's Tommy Fury, the brother of WBC title holder Tyson Fury.

However, that fight fell through and Rahman Jr., the son of former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, has stepped in.

How Old Is Hasim Rahman Jr.?

Rahman Jr. was born on June 15, 1991 and is 31 years old. He was brought up in Baltimore, USA.

Hasim Rahman Jr. Net Worth:

The boxer has an estimated net worth of $2 Million, according to newsunzip.

Jake Paul VS Hasim Rahman Jr. Preview:

Hasim is Paul’s first ever professional opponent, having only ever defeated other YouTubers and athletes from other sporting disciplines.

Rahman Jr. is ranked 53rd in the pound-for-pound rankings in the USA, having won 12 and lost only one of his fights so far.

His father was a world champion who became known when knocking out Lennox Lewis to win the unified heavyweight championship in 2001, with a record of 50-2-9 in an outstanding career.

He has already been a sparring partner for Jake Paul too, and has claimed that he will have an advantage over the YouTuber come fight night.

"I've been like a tutor to this man," Rahman Jr. said.

"The entire session I was talking to him, telling him to control his breathing. I was telling him, 'Don't go that way, you're going to run into my right hand.'

"Didn't hit him with the right hand. Or [saying,] 'Don't go that way, you're going to run into the left hook'. Didn't hit him with the left hook. Just little stuff, just trying to teach him step by step."

"It's like I'm just going to box this kid with one hand. I'm not going to knock him out with a jab."

"So I pretty much jabbed him for three or four rounds, jabbing around. He's under the impression that I'm going full force, that I'm going all out on him. But that wasn't the case", he continued."

"It was not even a 50 per cent effort on my part when I was sparring Jake Paul but he believes it was 100 per cent effort, I think that's his biggest mistake."

"This is the biggest mistake of his career."

The two take each other on next month at Madison Square Garden in New York, with Amanda Serrano vs Brenda Karen Carabajal featuring on the show.
