Alexis Mac Allister translates for Brighton teammate Julio Enciso after his first Premier League goal

Alexis Mac Allister translates for Brighton teammate Julio Enciso after his first Premier League goal

Argentina World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister translated for Julio Enciso after Tuesday's game against Bournemouth.

Alexis Mac Allister stepped in to translate for Brighton teammate Julio Enciso after the Paraguayan forward scored his first Premier League goal.

The Seagulls moved to within four points of the top four on Tuesday night as goals from Evan Ferguson and Enciso sealed all three points against struggling Bournemouth.

It was another comfortable win from Roberto De Zerbi's side, who are making a serious push to qualify for European competition next season.

And once again, the club's impressive record in the scouting department was on show at the Vitality Stadium.

Evan Ferguson, who joined Brighton from League of Ireland side Bohemians in 2021, continued his hot streak in front of goal with a wonderful backheel finish in the first-half.

And the highly-rated Julio Enciso put the game to bed in the dying embers to score his first Premier League goal.

Ensico has only made 13 appearances under De Zerbi this season following his £9.5 million move from South American side Libertad Asuncion, and most of those minutes have come from the bench.

But he finally made his mark in front of goal on Tuesday – a moment that was spoken about in his post-match interview with teammate Alexis Mac Allister.

As you can see in the clip above, Mac Allister was on hand to to translate all of Enciso's answers. Here's how social media reacted to the moment.

One said: "Mac Allister is brimming with pride. He can't stop himself from smiling at Enciso," while another wrote: "Demonstrates just how close the players are and the club unity."

A third commented: "Aw I've never seen a footballer interpret for his team-mate in an interview. Alexis is so sweet."

A fourth added: "Fantastic interview, bravo Mac Allister for doing the translating duties for this brilliant young player. It's an exciting time to be a Brighton and Hove Albion fan."

Enciso recently opened up about trying to learn as much as he can from his fellow Brighton players.

“I try to interact a lot with my team-mates, be it the English or the South Americans." he said via The Argus.

“I try to talk to them and take what I can from them. They can teach you, like Alexis as world champion and Lewis Dunk as captain of the team.

“I try to learn a lot from them because I am young and I have a lot of desire to learn a lot.”
