Chelsea fans are seriously concerned about the club's current squad depth amid a slew of departures this summer.

After two busy transfer windows where they spent heavily on new talent, Chelsea have offloaded a host of players ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Kai Havertz has joined Arsenal, Mateo Kovacic has moved to Manchester City while Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly and N'Golo Kante have ventured to Saudi Arabia.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is on the verge of signing for AC Milan, Mason Mount has a medical slated at Manchester United and Hakim Ziyech appears to be on his way out too.

Chelsea, though, have snapped up Christopher Nkunku, who agreed a pre-contract in December.

They remain in the market for new players, with Brighton's Moises Caicedo and Celta Vigo's Gabri Veiga linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

But, as it stands, Chelsea's depth is still threadbare in so many areas, with fans expressing their worry ahead of the new season.

Twitter user @DinoCFC has shared a post on social media, highlighting the lack of depth.

"One Kepa injury away from the worst championship keeper from a few years ago starting," the user wrote, accompanied with a picture of Chelsea's squad depth.

"Midfield is just Enzo + kids. Attack has 6 goals in it combined. Pochettino is the manager. How do ppl see anything more than 12th?"

Chelsea's defence looks fairly steady, but the problem appears to lie in midfield and up front. Big-money signing Enzo Fernandez joins Conor Gallagher and Carney Chukwuemeka in midfield.

The attacking options include Noni Madueke, Christian Pulisic, Nicolas Jackson, Armando Broja, Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk, who has failed to impress since his £88.5 million transfer.

Chelsea fans online raised concerns over their team's current squad depth.

One Twitter user wrote: "This team can easily be relegated."

A second tweeted: "Really hard to see any positives rn but I got faith in them directors. Our squad will be a lot different in a months time."

A third added: "We'll make some signings but we’re not getting more than 55-58 points."

A fourth said: "Very light in the middle. At least 3 signings needed."

Another commented: "Defence is class but Caicedo + a star attacker are needed."
