According to Corriere della Sera, Balotelli's friend clipped the kerb and his Fiat 500 then hit the gates of the bakery in Brescia at around 5am.

They had reportedly been celebrating New Year at a party in town and crashed close to the former Man City striker's house.

Both men escaped unhurt but the Fiat 500 suffered severe damage to the front axle.

Balotelli, 29, returned to hometown club Brescia this summer and signed a multi-year deal.
