Chelsea have turned things around since the departure of Frank Lampard.
The appointment of Thomas Tuchel appears to have inspired the squad to get back to their best form, becoming one of the meanest defences in the Premier League.
This has left the question, why weren't they doing this under Lampard? Is the Stamford Bridge legend not cut out for management at the highest level?

One reason for his failure might be the former England international's quick route to the top, with his only prior experience in the top job coming at Derby in the Championship.
Chelsea midfielder Jorginho certainly agrees with this, if what he said this week is anything to go by.
The Italy international took aim at his former boss while talking to ESPN Brasil, saying: "Look, I'll be really sincere here on Lampard. I believe, given he was a legend at the club, he skipped some steps necessary for learning before moving to a big club.

"He came to a club where he is a legend, without having experience at
other clubs. I think he came too soon, skipped a few steps ahead and
wasn't ready for a job at this level, to be honest."
This criticism might be particularly enjoyed by ex-Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas, who Lampard had said something eerily similar about after his sacking in 2014.
Lampard told The Sun back then: "AVB had played his cards and it hadn't worked. I don't know if he was too young or whether it had come too early for him."

It seems that Lampard may now have the same lessons to learn. Will he get another chance at a big club?
