Jadon Sancho's Manchester United Career Is 'Hurting The Soul' Of Borussia Dortmund Bosses

Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachin Watzke has expressed his disappointment with Jadon Sancho's struggles at Manchester United.

Sancho joined the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund in the summer for £73 million but hasn't fully settled at Old Trafford.

He hasn't started in United's last two Premier League games and didn't feature at all in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa.

Watzke has slammed how Sancho has been treated during his return to England.

"I love Jadon. When you see him playing you get tears in your eyes," he told SPORT1 per The Mirror.

"It hurts my soul that he is given so little consideration. I think his problem is that he's not set in the English national team."

Sancho was loved back in Germany and formed part of a deadly trio alongside Erling Haaland and Marco Reus.

He helped the club to DFB-Pokal glory last season while scoring 16 goals and providing a massive 20 assists.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Sancho could feel less pressure after the arrivals of Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Both men are regarded as two of the world's best and Solskjaer thinks it'll help Sancho learn the league.

"I think you're right, both with Raphael Varane and Cristiano coming in, that takes a little bit of pressure off a young man," Solskjaer said.

"He's 21, he's learning the game, he's learning how we train, he's learning how we play, he's learning the Premier League, but he's come in hungry to learn.

"We knew his talent, and we signed him with the thought that we are going to have a top forward here for the next 10 or 12 years.

"Jadon's finding his feet, it's unfortunate that he fell ill just when he was going to come in, so he was out, and he lost a bit of pre-season. But he is working hard and he will be good."

United have lost three of their last four games, all in different competitions.

A loss to Young Boys in the Champions League was then following by a Carabao Cup elimination at the hands of West Ham United.

A slip up against Villa means United are looking to get back to winning ways vs Villarreal on Wednesday evening.
