Chelsea fans beg Thiago Silva to delete his pinned tweet

Blues fans are not pleased.

Chelsea fans have told Thiago Silva to delete his latest tweet, demanding the defender gets his priorities in straight.

The 38-year-old tagged the official Champions League account on Twitter and posted a crying emoji to share how much he was missing Europe's elite competition.

Silva has appeared in the Champions League an incredible 106 times, winning it once with Chelsea in 2021.

However, the Blues missed out on this season's edition of the tournament after they finished 11th in the Premier League table last campaign.

Unfortunately for Chelsea supporters, Mauricio Pochettino has failed to inspire an upturn in form since taking charge over the summer, winning just one of his opening five Premier League games played so far.

And fans have warned Silva to focus Thiago Silva to focus on the league as opposed to being sentimental about the Champions League.

One fan tweeted: "We have a relegation battle to worry about king."

"Thiago Silva delete this!" another added.

A third joked: "Project 2030", sarcastically predicting that would be the next time Chelsea would be competing for European glory.

But in response to the comments, Silva has now pinned the tweet, angering fans even further.

The Brazil International, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer in 2020, has previously been very vocal about the club's state.

After they were knocked out of last season's Champions League by then-defending champions Real Madrid, he delivered a brutally honest assessment of the club's situation under Todd Boehly's ownership.

"I think the first step has been made. An incorrect step. but it has been made," he said in his post-match interview.

"We can't be blaming managers if we don't take responsibility. It's a hard period for the club with a lot of indecision: change of ownership, new players arriving."

He added: "We had to increase the size of the changing room because it didn't fit the size of the squad."
