Graeme Souness has reportedly turned down the chance to rejoin his old club Rangers following his emotional departure from Sky Sports.
The former Rangers manager and player stepped down from his role as a Sky pundit at the end of last season, calling time on a 15-year career with the Premier League broadcaster.
Since then, he has been approached about taking up an ambassadorial position at Ibrox, with talks talks taking place over several weeks, claim The Sun. However, the 70-year-old has rejected the opportunity, according to the same report.

It is said that Souness did not think he would 'be able to help the Gers', a club where he enjoyed huge success as a player and manager, winning three Scottish league titles.
Souness confirmed he was leaving Sky Sports in an emotional statement live on air. As he fought back tears, he declared: "I’m going to miss you guys, the guys behind the scenes, our makeup girl, I’ll miss you all.
"You know, for me, I decided that football management wasn’t for me anymore. I had the wrong temperament for it, the wrong personality.

"And then I was given the opportunity to do this and it’s been magnificent. It’s just been the most fantastic time for me, because I love football, I care about football and I worry about it going forward.
"But in Sky’s hands, it’s in good hands, safe hands, and I think over the years we’ve created a Premier League with great detail and I think we look after football very well.
"But for me personally, I’ve got the buzz of live football coming to some fantastic games and some fantastic stadiums and some great events.
"I think I owe 100 apologies to people, but we haven’t got time for that... but it’s been great so thank you to everyone."

Souness has since revealed wanted that he wanted to stay with Sky Sports for one more year but the decision was taken out of his hands.
But the former Liverpool midfielder has kept himself busy, recreating one of his most iconic career moments after returning to Galatasaray where he planted a flag in the centre of their home ground following a 3-0 win over Fenerbahce.
He has also been doing his bit for charity, completing a 21-mile fundraiser swim across the English channel to raise £1million for Debra UK, a charity that helps people suffering with skin disorder Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).
