Liverpool star Darwin Nunez responded after a fan asked for his shirt.

Liverpool fans spotted Darwin Nunez’s savage response to a supporter asking for his shirt.

On Sunday, Liverpool welcomed Brighton and Hove Albion to Anfield in the Premier League.

The Reds had to come from 1-0 down to record a vital victory as Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah cancelled out Danny Welbeck’s opener.

As a result, Liverpool climbed to the top of the Premier League table. Jurgen Klopp’s men are now two points clear of Arsenal and three clear of Manchester City after the pair played out a 0-0 draw at the Etihad Stadium.

After the match, two pictures of Nunez giving his shirt away to a ball boy emerged on social media.

One fan said: “Darwin Nunez sees fan begging for his shirt, gives it to the ball boy instead. They're learning.”

Another tweeted: “Good. Ban these ridiculous signs. Clowns.”

A third fan added: “The ball boy is an academy player, that shirt could be an inspirational moment for this kid to push on. People begging for shirts to be let down just ruins the whole experience of the game. Seen people fighting over a players shirt few weeks back.”

Someone else wrote: “If u take a sign asking for a shirt, stop coming.”

After playing a key role in Liverpool’s latest victory, midfielder Alexis Mac Allister said: “We didn’t start as we wanted but it was an amazing game, we played against an unbelievable team. I know them very well, I know what they can do. It was a tough match but at the end we won it, so we are very happy.

“I would rather not concede so early! But the mentality of the boys is amazing, that’s what you need when you are 1-0 down. Today we showed it again. But, as I said, next time we have to try to start winning and not losing.”

Liverpool will be back in Premier League action again on Thursday when they welcome relegation-threatened Sheffield United to Anfield.

After Sheffield, Liverpool will have the small matter of playing against arch rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
