Benjamin Sesko was heavily rumoured with a move to Manchester United over the summer, but he has since revealed why he turned the Premier League giants down.
The 20-year-old has hit the ground running at the German side since making the move from RB Salzburg to RB Leipzig, and United fans may feel hard done by that they missed out on his signature.
The Red Devils were heavily linked with the Slovenia international and actually sent Old Trafford scouts to watch the forward play for his country back in September.

Sesko has now lifted the lid on why he chose to stay in the Bundesliga, admitting he made the right decision due to Leipzig's 'style' of play.
“The thing is, I wasn't really involved in these kinds of conversations,” Sesko said when asked about the Red Devils' interest (quotes via transfermarkt). “But I think it was better to come here."
“It was very important for me to go to a place that plays a similar style of football,” he added. “I already knew what I had to do and didn’t have to go through a whole learning process again.”

Sesko conceded that the Premier League would be an attractive option in the future, but references his lengthy contract, which runs until 2028, stating: “It would be nice to play there. But for now let’s focus on the now and then we’ll see.”
The prolific No. 9 also referenced the comparisons to Erling Haaland, exclaiming that his teammates think he is better than the Norwegian forward.
“Such comparisons motivate me and give me energy,” Sesko said. "They don't put pressure on you. I will listen and learn so I can be even better than him.
"My teammates at the club tell me that Haaland and I are very similar, especially when it comes to speed. Most people even tell me that I’m better than him!”
