PSG forward Kylian Mbappe could receive shock new transfer offer to rival Real Madrid as meeting confirmed

Kylian Mbappe will meet the Emir of Qatar and the president of France this week.

Kylian Mbappe is set to receive a new offer at a meeting in Paris this week, according to reports, as rumours surrounding his future at PSG continue to swirl.

Earlier this month, the 25-year-old forward informed PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi of his desire to move on when his contract expires at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

Spanish publication Marca suggest Mbappe has already signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid – a deal that will make him one of the club's top earners.

But despite ongoing rumours surrounding a potential move to Los Blancos, it is being reported that the Emir of Qatar, Tamim al-Thani, will try and convince him to stay at the Parc des Princes.

As part of his visit to France, Al-Thani will visit the Elysee Palace – the official residence of France president Emmanuel Macron – on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Here, he will dine with a number of guests, including Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser al-Khelaifi and Mbappe.

In fact, French publication L'Equipe suggest the Emir 'could take advantage' of this trip and make a new offer to Mbappe to try and change his mind,.

They add that those around the Qatari delegation say 'there is no question of it'.

Al-Khelaifi, on the other hand, is 'very unlikely' to interact with Mbappe given his decision to leave in June.

Earlier this month, the former AS Monaco forward informed his PSG team-mates that he will be leaving the club, according to RMC Sport.

It is said that the whole squad was present for Mbappe's speech, which was said to 'not last very long and was well received'.

The report added that both Mbappe and PSG are planning a joint announcement to publicly confirm the 25-year-old's departure but a date for this is yet to be set.
