Manchester United are stepping up their pursuit of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, according to reports.
Erik ten Hag is thought to be in the market for midfield recruits this summer, having been stretched in the middle of the park this season.
Onana has emerged as a potential target, with the United boss understood to be a huge admirer of the 21-year-old.

Indeed, Ten Hag is 'urging the United board to make a move for Onana', claim Football Insider. While his 'physicality' is viewed as viewed as a much-needed addition at Old Trafford.
Onana only arrived at Goodison Park last summer, and with his current contract not due to expire until 2027, the Toffees are in a strong negotiating position.
However, that could all change if Sean Dyche is unable to keep the Merseyside club in the Premier League.

Everton are currently one point above the relegation zone, but face league leaders Manchester City next, who are on a 13-game unbeaten streak in the league.
Onana price tag revealed
Football insider have claimed that Everton are willing to accept an offer of £50 million to part ways with Onana this summer, if they suffer relegation this term.
Indeed, the Belgium international is 'ready to push for an exit' should that be the case, with the Red Devils seemingly the favourites to sign him.

Although if Everton survive the drop, they will attempt to persuade their prized asset to stay for another season.
Onana has recorded 32 appearances for Everton this campaign, and contributed one goal and two assists from midfield.
As for United, midfield duo Scott McTominay and Fred have been heavily rumoured with an exit, paving the way for new recruits at Old Trafford.
While the likes of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen are not getting any younger.
