Footage of Jadon Sancho at 14 years old shows his enormous talent and why he is now one of the most exciting young players in Europe.

Now just seven years later, the England international has recently completed a £73 million move to Manchester United at just 21 years of age.

To the many people who had watched Sancho throughout his teens playing for the Watford and Manchester City academy, his development on the European stage would be unsurprising.

In the footage filmed by FFDTV Online, it is easy to see his excellent technique and comfort with the ball at his feet at such a young age.

After progressing further during his two years with Manchester City, Sancho moved to Borussia Dortmund where he averaged a goal or assist every 90 minutes in the Bundesliga.

Viewers of the video have compared Sancho's skills to the former Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo and after the England forward's move to Manchester, these comparisons have continued.

When speaking to the Manchester United Youtube channel, Sancho spoke about the influence that the five time ballon d'or winner has had on him: "I feel like everyone's different and I feel like I've got different attributes to all the other players, but obviously Cristiano Ronaldo and what he's done in his career is a fantastic thing - where he started at Sporting and then he came to Manchester.

So it's always good to see that all these iconic players have come through an iconic club."

When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was asked about the qualities that Sancho will bring to the squad, he said: "He's such a creative, positive winger and forward player. He can play wide, nip into the pockets and he excites the fans.

"He takes people on one-against-one, he creates chances, he works hard and he loves football.

"And there is some untapped talent there I am sure, and coming into this environment will help him improve as well."

Sancho is set to start training with his new teammates this Sunday as Manchester United prepare for their first Premier League game of the season against Leeds United.
