The Swedish Football Federation has confirmed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not take part in this summer's European Championships.
The 39-year-old former Manchester United and Barcelona striker originally retired after Sweden were knocked out of Euro 2016 after failing to reach the knockout stages.
But back in March, it was announced that Zlatan had been called up to the national team, five years after making his final appearance on the international stage.
It was set to be a triumphant return for the enigmatic forward but on Saturday afternoon, it was confirmed that Ibrahimovic will, unfortunately, miss the upcoming tournament after suffering a knee injury.

Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that after the announcement of conservative therapy was needed to recover, he will be absent.
In addition to those reports, Swedish football's official Twitter account confirmed that Zlatan has informed manager Janne Andersson that his injury will stop him from participating in the competition.
Ibrahimovic, who made his international return during a 1-0 win against Georgia in March, damaged his ACL in last week's Serie A clash against Juventus.

He was brought off in the 64th minute and sadly, he will miss out on this summer's tournament.
How will Janne Andersson's side perform without the influential striker in their squad?
