Cristiano Ronaldo Jr appears to drop huge hint on his dad’s future with Al Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr appears to drop huge hint on his dad’s future with Al Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr in January

Cristiano Ronaldo’s son, Cristiano Jr, has appeared to drop a huge hint regarding the Portuguese legend’s future.

Back in January, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner sent shockwaves across the football world after it was confirmed that he has ditched European football to sign for Saudi Professional League side Al Nassr.

The big-money move to the Middle East came after Ronaldo’s second stint with Manchester United ended in dramatic fashion.

In a recent video that was uploaded on social media, Ronaldo’s son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr seemed to drop a big hint on his dad’s future with Al Nassr.

One of his friends said: “I’m coming to Saudi next year.”

To which Ronaldo Jr replied: “Come this year, next year I probably won’t be here.”

Now, this could mean Ronaldo Jr could follow in his dad’s footsteps and move elsewhere to continue his own football journey.

Or it could mean that Ronaldo could leave Saudi Arabia and move to a new club.

The 38-year-old did previously say his time in European football was over after signing for Al Nassr.

It remains to be seen what will happen with Ronaldo but the Saudi Professional League have been making the headlines throughout the summer transfer window.

A host of clubs have been spending huge amounts of money in a bid to lure some of football’s biggest stars to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The likes of Alex Telles, Sadio Mane and Marcelo Brozovic have joined forces with Ronaldo by signing for Al Nassr.

Whilst N’Golo Kante, Fabinho and current Ballon d’Or holder Karim Benzema have signed for Al Ittihad.

Last season’s champions, Al Hilal, have signed the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly and Ruben Neves.

The Saudi Professional League season got underway on Friday night with Al Ahli against Al Hazm, new signings Allan Saint-Maximin, Roberto Firmino and Riyad Mahrez combined to score a brilliant goal during the 3-1 victory.
