Al Nassr 'prepared to bid' for Cristiano Ronaldo's former teammate at Man Utd, it would be a massive coup

Al Nassr 'prepared to bid' for Cristiano Ronaldo's former teammate at Man Utd, it would be a massive coup

The Saudi Pro League club have a 'firm interest' in the Manchester United defender.

Al Nassr are readying a bid for one of Cristiano Ronaldo's former Manchester United teammates, according to reports, as they look to strengthen in defensive areas.

The Saudi Pro League side, who currently sit second in the SPL table with 15 wins from a possible 19, are in the market for a new full-back.

They have failed in a £20 million move for Spurs defender Emerson Royal but the club are already looking elsewhere.

In fact, Luis Castro's side are 'prepared' to make an offer for Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to The Telegraph, as they try and add another high-profile name to their roster.

Wan-Bissaka has been in and out of Erik ten Hag's plans this season after missing a lengthy period through injury.

The 26-year-old, who has made 13 starts for the Premier League side this season, has been linked with a number of clubs of late, including Inter Milan.

The Serie A side recently offered Denzel Dumfries as part of a swap deal for Wan-Bissaka but United turned down the proposal, even though the club have been 'monitoring' Dumfries for the last two years', say The Sun.

Dumfries has featured 18 times for the Nerazzurri this term, registering five goal contributions.

He is rated highly by manager Simone Inzaghi but Inter, who need to sell players to comply with Financial Fair Play rules, are only willing to offer Dumfries £35,000-per-week – a far cry from his desired £80,000-per-week wage.

Earlier this month, United activated the option to extend Wan-Bissaka's contract to 2025.

The full-back credited Ten Hag for helping turn around his United career "I've learned a lot under him," he told Manchester United's official website in August.

"There's more to come, more improvement to be done. So, yeah, I'm happy. He's helped the team. You can see the team's transition has changed.”

When asked what things Ten Hag has helped him with, Wan-Bissaka added: "On the pitch, just where to be at certain times, be more aggressive going forward, and just how I can help the team.”
