"I've been told..." - Sky Sports reporter reveals the exciting news he's heard about Arsenal's transfer plans

It's exciting news.

A Sky Sports reporter revealed exciting news regarding who Arsenal are targeting in the remainder of the transfer window.

The Gunners have already had a busy summer, having recruited Kai Havertz for £65million from Chelsea, signed Jurrien Timber in a deal that could rise to £38.5million, and purchased Declan Rice for a club-record £105million.

Indeed, the latter transfer is just shy of the British record, with Chelsea having paid Benfica £106.8million for midfielder Enzo Fernandez in January.

Despite having spent more than £200million so far this window, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta claimed the club could still do more business.

Arsenal have been linked with several other targets including Southampton teenager Romeo Lavia and Bayer Leverkusen attacker Moussa Diaby and Arteta suggested there could be further incomings

"Let's see. There is a lot of time still in the market and expectations with some of our players, so we will have to see how things develop in the next couple of weeks," Arteta told Sky Sports News.

"We will be alert. There is still time to do things. There is still time for exits obviously, so I am sure things will move."

Arsenal to sign an attacker?

Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth claimed that Arsenal were still interested in signing an attacker this window, citing both Diaby and Barcelona winger Raphinha as potential targets.

However, the journalist added that Arsenal will have to sell before they can buy.

Sheth said: “I’ve just been told to keep an eye on the attacking side of the pitch, particularly on the right side as well.

“Remember a couple of summers ago they tried to sign Raphinha (last summer) - he ended up going to Barcelona.

"They’re also interested in Moussa Diaby from Bayer Leverkusen. I know Aston Villa have had a bid rejected for him as well, so that may be an area just to keep an eye on.

“It would require now a few departures and money to be recouped because after Havertz, Rice and Timber they’ve gone through £200million in this transfer window.”
