Cameron Smith has walked out of a press conference after a flurry of questions about his LIV Golf status were directed his way.
The Saudi Arabian-backed golf league was unsurprisingly the main topic of conversation for the Australian at the PGA Tour’s St Jude Championship.
A report from the UK Telegraph had revealed the Aussie had signed a $140 million deal to join the league just hours earlier.
Meanwhile, fellow Australian player Cameron Percy had let slip that Smith and countryman Marc Leishman had taken the LIV contract while speaking to RSN radio.

As such reporters didn’t care much to talk about the FedExCup.
Smith said: “You know, my goal here is to win the FedExCup Playoffs. That’s all I’m here for.”
He also used the opportunity to make a sly dig at Cameron Percy’s supposed blubber mouth.
He added: “If there’s something I need to say regarding the PGA Tour or LIV, it’ll come from Cameron Smith, not Cameron Percy.

“I’m a man of my word and whenever you guys need to know anything, it’ll be said by me.”
Smith confirmed he had plans to play in the President’s Cup, despite the UK Telegraph report claiming he would be with LIV Golf by then.
Pushed further to comment on report, Smith simply replied: “I have no comment to that.”

The Australian was again pressed about the LIV Golf situation, giving a similar answer before saying ‘thanks’ and cutting the press conference short, according to FoxSports Australia.
Smith’s answers mirrored that of another awkward press conference last month following his British Open win.
The Australian was again asked about his links to the LIV Golf tour despite just securing a major win.
When asked bout his future, he said: “I just won the British Open and you’re asking about that? I think that’s pretty - not that good.”

When pressed for an answer, the Australian seemingly avoided the question.
He replied: “I don’t know, mate. My team around me worries about all that stuff, I’m here to win golf tournaments.”
While it wasn’t an admission that he was jumping ship, it wasn’t a denial, leading to rumours swirling.
LIV Golf has signed the likes of Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka, however, Smith would signal the highest profile signing considering he is the current World Number Two.
