A TikTok star has gone viral online for his response to news that NRL players were refusing to wear their club's pride jersey.
Several Manly Sea Eagles players made headlines when it was revealed that they were threatening to boycott their Round 20 game because they didn't want to don the team's rainbow 'Everyone in League' strip.
The wider rugby league community has been quick to condemn the actions of the players with some even calling for them to be sacked.
But it seems one TikTok star's reaction has got a lot of people talking.
The account 'Luke And Sassy Scott' have amassed a huge following across social media for their prank videos which involves one brother toying with his 'sassy' sibling.
Honestly, the clips are hilarious.
Well now 'Sassy Scott' himself has given his thoughts on the entire situation unfolding in Manly – and his comments are spot on.
"Why am I not surprised," he said in a recent TikTok video.
"Listen up you fellas, when you put on your jersey you represent the sport and your team – not your religion.
"There are fans at home that are black, white, brown, Christian, Muslin, trans, gay, bi, straight. Who the f**k are you to define the validity of that jersey when you put it on? Because last time I looked, it's the members that pay the really big bucks, the sponsors that pay the even bigger bucks, to keep your arses employed."
But Scott wasn't done there.
He then turned it up a notch, joining the chorus of people demanding the players' contracts be torn up if they don't comply.
"Now you either go and chuck that jersey on and do your job or I'm asking your club to stand you down permanently for your outdated, backwards and homophobic views," he added.
"Let's be really clear here, it's got nothing to do with religion. I have a lot of religious friends that do not have a problem with my sexuality at all. You're a bigot and a homophobe.
"It would mean the world to me and the LGBTQI+ community if AFL players, people of faith, NRL fans and players could re-share this to stand with my community and let us know that we are included in Australian sport.
"Be an ally and not a homophobe, it's really f**king ugly and tiring."
The video has only been live a few hours and it has already racked up nearly 100,000 likes and over 2,000 comments.
And judging by the comments section, the wider TikTok community not only agrees with what Scott is saying but has also praised him for speaking up.
