The William Hill Racing League continues on Thursday evening as week two of the competition sees Doncaster play host to the 12 teams all vying to be crowned the inaugural Racing League champions.
Team ODDSbible endured an inauspicious start to the competition and find themselves 11th out of 12 teams in the points table. However, the switch to Doncaster sees the first bit of turf action in the competition which should play to the strengths of team ODDSbible's four trainers - Roger Charlton, Martyn Meade, Brian Meehan & Alan King. Group One winning rider Martin Dwyer & Trevor Whelan have been booked to ride the six races runners at Doncaster and we have previewed the action with our race by race guide.

Brian Meehan saddles Many A Star who returned to form when a good third at Bath last time out and a reproduction of that effort would see him go close here. The only concern would be the potential for soft ground. However, a mark of 83 looks very fair and he cannot be dismissed. The leading contenders for the event include Celsius who boasts course and distance winning form at the track, Autumn Flight who is set to be ridden by Frankie Dettori and Ballintoy Harbour who scored in good style last time out.

This looks wide-open and Brian Meehan is responsible for team ODDSbible's contender Tanfantic. Winless in four starts this term the return to six furlongs could prove the catalyst in this event. He looks an each-way contender with Ivatheengine one of the market principals following a good second at Newcastle last week.

6.48 Racing League R9 Handicap (7f)
Team ODDSbible contender Sycamore will need a career best to land this event. The four-year-old lost plenty of ground at the beginning on his latest start at Bath and was never able to land a blow. This contest demands even more from that event. Two of the leading contenders were both formerly trained in France with Dilawara shaping with promise on debut for Joseph O'Brien, whilst Natural Path has his first run for Michael Bell in this event.

7.20pm Racing League R10 Handicap (1m)
Team ODDSbible's best chance of the night goes in this event. Bake was a stunning winner at Yarmouth last time out, oozing class to win by nine and a half-lengths. Trained by Martyn Meade, the three-year-old has been an official mark of 82 which looks workable and he remains thoroughly unexposed. The step into handicap company is a stern test, but he looks up to it and makes appeal.

Team ODDSbible runner Corbulo is one of the more unexposed runners in the line-up. The three-year-old has made rapid progress this term, winning three of his five starts, which included victory at Chester in June. He is now up to a career high mark of 76, but that remains lenient and there is clearly more to come from this progressive type. Likely contenders include Sarvan who has finished second on his last two starts and the progressive Russian Virtue in what looks an open race.

8.25pm Racing League R12 Handicap (1m 4f)
The final race of the day sees Team ODDSbible represented by Roger Charlton who saddles Amir Kabir. The four-year-old was fourth on his latest start at Newmarket in what was arguably a warmer race than this event. Without a win this year, he is down to a mark of 83 which looks workable, given he started favourite for a contest at Leicester off this mark earlier this term. He looks a cracking each-way player. Other market principals include Au Clair De Lune who boasts winning form at this track and remains open to more improvement, along with top-weight Vindolanda, Currency Exchange and Furzig.
