Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier had an impromptu brawl during a UFC media day, with both fighters causing havoc in the MGM Grand lobby.

The intense rivalry between Jones and Cormier peaked in 2014 when both fighters brawled in a heated face-off to promote their upcoming championship bout.

Jones and Cormier went head-to-head but the situation escalated when Cormier put his hands on Jones' throat and pushed him.

The champion retaliated by swinging for Cormier which prompted mayhem on the stage.

Then-UFC executive Dave Sholler, Las Vegas security and Mike Brown intervened and eventually broke up the fight at the expense of the promotional boarding, which flattened during the melee.

Jones and Cormier then toppled from the stage and Jones stood over his opponent and continued to throw punches until security managed to separate them.

Cormier was escorted away but Jones returned to the stage and flexed in front of the public before screaming loudly.

They continued to beef over social media following the incident.

Jones and Cormier were supposed to headline UFC 178 yet an injury to Jones derailed that meeting, though it was rescheduled for UFC 182 where Jones defeated Cormier on points.

They fought for a second time two years later and Jones continued to reign over Cormier, but his head-kick victory was overturned after Jones tested positive for a steroid metabolite.

While a third fight has been mooted, Jones does not sound interested in facing Cormier for a third time.
