WWE fans have theory over strange Logan Paul Royal Rumble interview

WWE fans have theory over strange Logan Paul Royal Rumble interview

Fans have come up with a theory.

WWE fans have come up with a theory that could help to explain Logan Paul's strange Royal Rumble interview.

'The Maverick' retained his United States Championship on Saturday night when Kevin Owens was disqualified at the end of their match at Royal Rumble. He won the title when he beat Rey Mysterio at the Crown Jewel show in Saudi Arabia last year.

The YouTuber-turned-wrestler took a serious beating from WWE star Owens, who hit him with brass knuckles and threw him through the announcer's table.

It was Paul who brought the knuckles into the ring and struck Owens with them, but the referee didn't notice. Owens stole the knuckles from his opponent and pinned him down, but the referee caught the Canadian and disqualified him.

After the match fans were concerned that Paul was concussed during his post-match interview with The Bump.

The 28-year-old managed to answer a few questions before he was asked to give a message to anyone who wanted a shot at his title. Paul's eyes slightly glazed over and while slurring, he replied: "Come and get it... I need a second," before he walked out of frame.

There has been no official update on Paul's condition, so he could well have been concussed. However, some WWE fans have come up with an alternative explanation for Paul's strange interview.

Some fans on X believe Paul was acting that way in order to sell the fight and the narrative that Owens struck him illegally with the brass knuckles.

"I mean, he’s just selling the brass knuckles, which is his own finish so he's making them look bloody lethal," one fan tweeted.

Another replied to a video of Paul's interview: "Probably just a good sell of the brass knuckles hit, I don't think WWE would've aired that clip if there was any concern of him having a legit injury."

One fan was certain Paul was playing up to the camera to add to the drama of the event, saying: "If this is a work, sign him to a lifetime contract."

Paul's next match is yet to be announced, but he's reportedly in line to compete on WWE's 'Elimination Chamber' event, scheduled to take place in Australia next month.
