WWE fans concerned for Logan Paul's wellbeing after he struggles to speak during Royal Rumble interview

WWE fans concerned for Logan Paul's wellbeing after he struggles to speak during Royal Rumble interview

Paul defeated Kevin Owens by disqualification at the event.

Logan Paul's promo immediately following his match with Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble has concerned WWE fans.

'The Maverick' retained his United States Championship on Saturday night via disqualification.

It was a brutal contest which saw Paul put through the announcer's table and get hit with brass knuckles.

Owens struck Paul with the brass knuckles and had his shoulders pinned to the mat.

The referee noticed Owens left the brass knuckles on, ruling Paul the winner.

Paul won the United States Championship from Rey Mysterio at the Crown Jewel show in Saudi Arabia late last year.

It's his first defence of the title and he spoke to The Bump shortly after the contest.

The 28-year-old, still battered and bruised, managed to get through a few questions before being asked if he had a message for anyone who wanted a shot at his title.

Paul's eyes slightly glazed over and while slurring, he replied: "Come and get it... I need a second."

He then walked off and out of frame before finishing his point. There's yet to be an official update on Paul's condition, and it could just be him selling in the aftermath of the match, but WWE fans think he may have been concussed during the interview.

One person said: "Bro 100 per cent has a concussion during this interview."

A second posted: "Hope Logan is alright. He went through a tough match."

Someone commented: "Think he could be running on empty."

While another added: "Damn, I don't think he's well."

Paul's next match is yet to be announced, but he's reportedly in line to compete on WWE's 'Elimination Chamber' event, scheduled to take place in Australia next month.

Owens wants to be the one to take Paul's title and become a four-time United States Champion.

He said: "I hope Logan Paul knows I'm coming for a rematch. There's no way things can end this way.

"First of all, he brought in the brass knuckles - is it brass knuckles or brass nocks? So both are correct?

"In French, that's called a poing Américain, which literally translates to American fist.

"Which is appropriate because he's the United States champion, doesn't do anything by the book, brings in American fists and tries to retain the United States title.

"But here's the thing, I'm a Canadian, which is probably why I got caught using the American fist.

"See where I'm going? But it doesn't matter, next time I get Logan Paul in the ring, I'm winning the championship."
