15-Leg NFL Multi Earns Six Aussie Mates Over $200k From Just $6

Not bad for a weekend's worth of work.

Six Aussie mates have turned a mere $6 into a whopping $202,000.

You may be asking: How?!

Well, one not-so-simple bet on a round of NFL fixtures, that's how.

Nelson Moodie and his pals have been betting on the NFL for around five years and their persistence finally paid off on Tuesday evening.

Just as they have done for the past five years, the six friends placed a 15-leg multi for week two of the revamped NFL season at $6.

The 15-leg multi rested on Saint TE Jared Cook getting into the end zone.

For the bet to be successful, they needed:

  • New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones over 36.5 passing attempts
  • Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz over 35.5 passing attempts
  • Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper over 5.5 receptions
  • Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor to score a touchdown
  • Carolina Panthers RB Christian McCaffrey over 17.5 rushing attempts
  • Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner over 49.5 rushing yards
  • Jacksonville Jaguars RB James Robinson over 51.5 rushing yards
  • LA Chargers RB Austin Ekeler over 55.5 rushing yards
  • Over 41.5 points in Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins
  • Over 49.5 points in Detroit Lions vs Green Bay Packers
  • Over 44.5 points in New England Patriots vs Seattle Seahawks
  • Over 41.5 points in San Francisco 49ers vs New York Jets
  • Baltimore Ravens with a -7.5 handicap
  • Arizona Cardinals with a -7.0 handicap.

With most of the round wrapped up by Monday night, the group of mates needed tight end Jared Cook to score in the New Orleans Saints' clash with the Las Vegas Raiders - the final game of Week 2.

And, well, he didn't disappoint.

Cook ran in for a touchdown, meaning Nelson and his buddies had bagged just over $202,000 from their $6 stake - around $33k for all six of them!

Not bad.

Nelson posted a picture of his SportsBet slip with the caption: "The past 5 years a few mates and I have put on a NFL multi-bet of all games in a week, yesterday we went 14/14 and we needed a Jared Cook TD today for the win! Fair to say the group phone call went nuts when he crossed over for a TD! 33k each @sportsbetcomau YEAH THE BOYS!"

And about half-a-day later, Nelson provided an important update via Twitter.

He wrote: "For those of you that are wondering the 202k has hit the bank account! Let the celebration begin!"
