Shots were fired at the site of the parade celebrating Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl triumph, police confirm.
A video on social media shows local police responding to an incident near Union Station in Kansas City.
According to widespread reports, 10 to 15 people have been injured in the shooting, with one person tragically dying.

On X, Kansas City Police wrote: "Shots were fired west of Union Station near the garage and multiple people were struck. We took two armed people into custody for more investigation."
They added: "Anyone nearby needs to leave the area as quickly and safely as possible to facilitate treatment of the shooting victims. Please avoid the Union Station parking garage area to allow first responders through.

"We request witnesses to the shooting to please go to the southwest corner of Pershing and Main."
Kansas City police chief Stacey Graves added: "I’m angry. Right now we have 10 to 15 injured, it could be upwards of 10 to 15, with one deceased, I do not have conditions on the victims right now. I do not believe any were children.”
The chief said there are two people in custody.
Star player Patrick Mahomes, who threw the game-winning touchdown, posted a message on social media.

Thousands of people were in attendance to celebrate the Chiefs' Super Bowl victory over San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas last Sunday.
They made it back-to-back Super Bowl titles following their 25-22 overtime triumph.
