NFL receiver K.J. Osborn proved to be a star off the field when he saved a man from a burning car.
The Minnesota Vikings player appeared on a podcast interview with ESPN’s Adam Schefter where he revealed the story.
Osborn told Schefter: “They always say, 'Wrong place wrong time’.

"But I was at the exact right place at the right time."
The 25-year-old was in Austin, Texas visiting friends for the weekend when he decided to become a hero.
He was riding an Uber home on that Sunday night when he and the driver noticed a car had crashed into a pillar on the freeway.

Osborn, the driver, as well as two other bystanders, approached the incident as the car engine caught on fire.
In the interview, Osborn noted that it was difficult to see the driver as the airbags had deployed, but the group knew they had to help.
He admitted: “I'm thinking this is obviously a big risk.
"I don't have experience in this. In my head, I'm thinking this car can blow up at any second and it could all be over."

The four of the rescuers convinced the man to slide to the passenger’s side as they pulled him out of the car.
The NFL star then carried the man away from the car to safety.
According to a police statement, via ESPN, the man was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Osborn says the responding officers had told them that ‘we saved the man’s life. He wouldn’t have been able to get out of that vehicle without’ their help.
He added: “I was like, 'That was live bullets’.
“I'm just grateful I was in a position to help him. It was definitely the most crazy experience of my life."
Saving a man from a burning car probably trumps any sporting accolade that’s for sure.

Osborn is currently finishing his master’s degree in criminal justice at the University of Miami.
