Protestor that was tackled by Bobby Wagner allegedly suffered a concussion from the hit

The police report states that Taylor suffered a ‘concussion without loss of consciousness and a burn on his inner right bicep’.

The protestor who copped a brutal hit from Bobby Wagner suffered a concussion among multiple injuries, according to the Santa Clara Police department.

TMZ reports that the streaker who ran onto the field of play during the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams NFL game went to the police department just 24 hours later.

Alexander Taylor told police that he had sustained multiple injuries after the linebacker drove his helmet and shoulder into him.

The police report states that Taylor suffered a ‘concussion without loss of consciousness and a burn on his inner right bicep’.

Although, it is unclear whether the burn was caused by his own smoke device.

In the back end of the first half at Levi Stadium, Taylor had sprinted onto the field, letting off a pink smoke flare above his head in the process, looking like some sort of bizarre gender reveal.

The fan evaded security personnel as they ran across the pitch, but they certainly couldn’t escape a ferocious hit from Bobby Wagner.

As the brave invader ventured close to the Rams' bench, fellow linebacker Takkarist McKinley looked to close in on him before Wagner followed up with a devastating shoulder charge.

A big enough hit to make you forget what you were protesting in the first place.

Taylor subsequently filed a police report over the incident.

According to Direct Action Everywhere, the activist was part of the Right To Rescue movement.

They told the publication that the police report stems from a ‘blatant assault’ by two NFL players.

Speaking to reporters the next day (October 5), Wagner explained his actions while acknowledging the police report.

He said: “You never know, like, people run on the field for no reason sometimes and again, I'm pretty sure it's gonna keep happening, but you never know what that person got in they pocket, in they hands, whatever.

“Kind of like what I said after the game so, you know, there's consequences for your actions."

Taylor’s claim that he suffered a concussion in the incident comes after John Oliver called the NFL ‘primetime programming where people kill themselves for entertainment’.

He added: “Happy concussion season, football fans! It sure feels like this sport maybe shouldn’t exist.”

His damning remarks came in the wake of a sickening injury sustained by Miami Dolphins star Tua Tagovailoa.

After finding himself on the wrong end of a head-rattling collision against the Cincinnati Bengals, Tagovailoa was left lying motionless on the turf with his limbs curling up in an unnatural position.

He was eventually stretchered off the field, but this was the second nasty head knock he had suffered in less than a week.
